C-O-N-N-O-R

I have always like the letters you can get to spell out kids' names....I, however, do not like the hefty price that can come with some of the cute pre-made letters. Spending more than a few dollars per letter was not something I was comfortable doing, especially since none of my kids' names are super short. Some pre-made letters on Etsy and Ebay are in abundance of $10.00 or more per letter...holy expensive. (I don't mean to criticize anyone that has purchased these letters...they are lovely and definitely pull together kids' rooms, I just couldn't justify it for myself)

I happened to find these white letters at Hobby Lobby for a regular price of $2.99, but as luck would have it, they were 50% off, so I picked them up for Connor's room. I love that it cost me less than $10.00 to buy all of the letters for his name, and only a few dollars more to buy the materials to personalize his name to match his room.
(I also like that since I made these letters, whenever we decide to do something else with his room, I can take these letters apart and redo them...I would never want to do that with letters I had purchases pre-made)

I wish I would have taken individual pictures of each letter to show the accents and detail, but you can take my word...they are super cute!

(Just a picture of a different wall in his room. I found that cute star lamp at a resale shop for $3.00....it goes perfectly in his room)

At the time I bought these letters, I didn't get the ones for the girls' room, b/c I didn't know how they would turn out. I am really pleased with how they look, so I went back and bought the letters for Avery and Alivia's names. I haven't done anything with them yet, b/c I keep hoping we'll be able to move sometime soon, and I don't know what their room(s) will look like at that point..if we'll re-decorate or whatnot...so until then, I'll just wait.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I've never made cake-balls before, and while I think that they will be pretty tasty, they aren't the easiest things to make...as a matter of fact, they were quite the pain in the rear end. For some reason, the "ball" part didn't want to stay on the Popsicle stick...especially after I dipped them in the melted white chocolate, it kept sliding down and falling off. So, after getting a few dipped completely, I decided that the drizzle effect looked pretty cute too, and finished them off like that.

I also didn't want to make a zillion cake balls, so I decided to make 1 dozen cupcakes and use the remaining batter for the cake balls. (please excuse the icky pan I have the cupcakes in...I need to work on my presentation a bit.) Also, if any of you counted the cupcakes and noticed that there are only 11...that's because Avery had to try one and make sure they were ok....they got the thumbs up!

Scrapbook Pages

Finally getting some pages done for my scrapbooks. Not overly pleased with these, but I'm so far behind, that I'm just relieved to be getting some of them done.
